The Batlow CiderFest street party is a festival of celebration. It occurs at the end of the apple harvest and gives growers, cider producers, locals and visitors, a chance to enjoy the autumn weather and tones before winter sets in. The street party is something special; with talented local entertainers performing on two stages, buskers, and street theatre along with about 80 market stalls focussing on ciders, gourmet foods, locally grown produce, and tempting homemade delights. Set in the main street with a backdrop of trees in autumn hues the atmosphere is amazing with people in costume, Wacky Apple Tarts and patrons dancing in the streets, the aroma of foods from around the globe, and of course, that crisp freshness of a cider being poured in clear mountain air. A cider industry conference attracting delegates across Australia is held on the Friday the day before the festival.
